MEETING<\/p>\n<p>9:00 a.m. \u2013 Party House<br \/>\nSaturday, June 24, 2006<br \/>\nSubmitted by Janie Allen<\/p>\n<p>David Allison welcomed  everyone to the meeting and called the meeting to order.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 First order of business was to go around  and introduce as we have so many new neighbors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINUTES<\/strong>:\u00a0 Minutes from the April 10th  meeting were reviewed; a quick synopsis was given by Janie Allen,  secretary.\u00a0 Kay Ward made a motion to  accept the minutes as written Joe Elmore 2nd the motion, motion  passed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FINANCIAL<\/strong>:\u00a0 Kay Ward gave an update on the current  finances; all members in attendance had a copy of expenses, income and  outgo.\u00a0 We currently have a combined  total between checking and savings of $8,408.00 however, taxes are coming due.\u00a0 Mrs. Foster asked about the vandalism that  occurred earlier this year Kay reported that an insurance claim was filed for  that and the repairs have been made.\u00a0  Betty Bradford made a motion to accept the treasures report, David Hart  2nd the motion, motion passed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELECTION OF OFFICERS<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0 A slate of officers was presented to those  in attendance.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 President \u2013 Joe Elmore<br \/>\nVice Pres \u2013 Jim Ince \/  David Hart<br \/>\nSecretary \u2013 Randy Reddick<br \/>\nParliamentarian \u2013 Alice Baker<br \/>\nTreasurer \u2013 Kay Ward<br \/>\nBetty Bradford commented she  has been told that the Ince family will NOT be moving into the Hall house,  David Hart agreed to take the position of Vice Pres.\u00a0 Randy Reddick introduced our new website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haversham.net\/\">http:\/\/www.haversham.net<\/a> it is up and  running.\u00a0 Access to names and addresses,  phone numbers, etc will be password protected.<br \/>\nBetty Bradford made a motion  to accept the amended slate of officers, Gerald Ward 2nd the motion,  motion passed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW BUSINESS\/ISSUES<\/strong>:\u00a0 New signs have been made for both gates and  will be posted today.\u00a0 Gates and party  house doors must be kept closed and LOCKED.\u00a0  Gates are self locking, be sure they close behind you.<br \/>\nJoe Elmore announced that  the city of Lubbock  has recently developed neighborhoods that do not have alley ways and that the  city will be providing trash services for them.\u00a0  He contacted the city and was able to secure the services for Haversham  also.\u00a0 The city does not currently have  the truck that will be doing pick up but we can expect trash services within 9  months.<br \/>\nKaren Allison gave us an  update on the remodel project.\u00a0 There are  several small projects that need to be finished up.\u00a0 Discussion took place regarding an electric  hot water heater for the party house, apartment and bathroom.\u00a0 Karen suggested a tankless system gave an  estimated cost of purchase, taxes, installation of ~$500.00.\u00a0 Vote was called for, all were in favor.\u00a0 Flooring in the party house was discussed,  carpet some areas, tile, paint vs. stain.\u00a0  There is still some asbestos tile under the carpeting.\u00a0 Joe Elmore states he has equipment available that  can take that up without problem.\u00a0 Brad  Rogers stated he has contacts regarding flooring and will get bids on several  options.<br \/>\nNancy Reddick addressed the  issue of party reservations.\u00a0 A calendar  is posted over on the bar with scheduled parties.\u00a0 Please do NOT just write your date on the  calendar schedule it with her, this will avoid conflicts.\u00a0 You can schedule your party via e-mail or  on-line at the new website.\u00a0 General  rules regarding responsibility and clean up were discussed.\u00a0 All members have an updated copy of the  Haversham Club Rules.<\/p>\n<p>10:15 meeting was adjourned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE<\/strong>:<br \/>\nDavid, Karen and Sarah  Allison<br \/>\nRandy and Nancy Reddick<br \/>\nJohn and Betty Bradford<br \/>\nGerald and Kay Ward<br \/>\nBob Whipple<br \/>\nJanie Allen<br \/>\nJoe Elmore<br \/>\nMark and Nancy Storrs<br \/>\nDavid and Nancy Hart<br \/>\nPaul and LuJuan Campbell<br \/>\nArt and Ada Wry Foster<br \/>\nBrad Rogers<br \/>\nJohn and Alice Baker<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Minutes of June 24, 2006 HAVERSHAM CLUB, INC.
