Hello neighbors,
The Parker/Cagle house ( 3106-42nd. street) has sold to Charlotte & Gary Bliass. They are moving from Cordova, Tennessee.
Some of you may have known that Steve Smith (Walker’s old house) has had a collapsed sewer line. (sorry about that Smith family) There has been an open trench in the easement for several weeks now. The utilities services of the city will be out shortly to fill in this very large and deep hole. If you are out walking, watch your step. However, in the attempt to reach this location thru the easements, there was damage done to our grass and sprinkler system (shortly after one of our snows) transporting trenchers, heavy equipment, etc. resulted in deep ridges, broken sprinkler heads and possibly sprinkler system lines. I was informed that the city would not repair any of these items as the easement is a ” utility easement” and they were not responsible for damages. However, after much discussion, I feel we WILL indeed get those items repaired/replaced. I mention all of this as a reminder, if you have cable, sewer, electrical problems, please try to make every effort to keep repair crews from driving into the easements. If you can’t be there, please call myself, Joe Elmore or David Hart and we will help convey that request.
When you go to the pool, notice the new roof on the pool shed. Looking forward to a fun spring and summer.

Treasurer of Haversham Club, Inc.

This is the Steve White family in the Walker’s old house. We did not have a collapsed sewer line in our yard. The city’s line that runs through the commons was completely clogged with about 30 yrs worth of roots. Because our house ties into the main line instead of into the manhole, we were the first affected by this, with sewage backed up into our house for 5 days. But long story short, after MUCH argument with the city, it was finally repaired, but could still reoccur. We were asked to call the Deputy City Manager in the future if we have any additional sewer line difficulties as to avoid a lot of run around because the sewer department people do not understand our specific circumstances here in Haversham. We were given his cell #. So, if anyone else has problems, feel free to contact us and we’ll give you his name and #. It will make everything much easier.
