Several residents have expressed an interest in bringing back a lost Haversham tradition. Once upon a time, during the Holiday Season, several homes in Haversham would get together to host a roaming party of sorts. At one home, everyone would meet for before-dinner-drinks and socializing, then everyone would move on to another home for appetizers, then off again for dinner, another house for dessert and finally a last house for after-dinner-drinks and more fun.  There has been a big interest in bringing back this old tradition, so long as we remember to keep it family oriented. To do so, we need some volunteers. Who would like to host a part of the party? We want to keep it simple and may even want the actual dinner in the party house. It’s a bit intimidating and cumbersome to cook a whole meal for that many people. This way, several households can join together for the dinner stage.Â
I think it’s a great opportunity to bring our special community closer together and spend some time with all the new Haversham families. We need suggestions for a date, volunteers to help organize and people who do not mind opening up their homes.Â
Please let me know if you are interested. The more who participate, the better! Call me at 747-0321 or email me at marquelb@prodigy.net
